Bringing beauty to everyday life

This coat of arms was recreated from the order of the Municipality of Ourém, from the very need to celebrate the new paths that marked the Day of the Municipality of Ourém – June 20th. The recent modeling was done by the local artist Ana Oliveira and we were responsible for the repetition of this art.

“Creators don’t separate themselves from their work, because they are their own work.”

It’s been a while since we’ve been this excited about a new challenge.

Us to Municipality of Ourém

Much of modern life is dulled by beauty, including the warped desire for constant productivity and the addiction to screens and social media. This rhythm of life steals the moments of wonder and awe that it grounds in the reality of who we are and who God is.

So we thought of stepping out of the box.

While this challenge took place, we, the “creators”, took the opportunity to use the questions that came to us for self-reflection and prayer. The answers resulted in a path to spiritual connection amidst the demands of our roots!

After all, what informs our thoughts if not what we are able to see? This of believing without seeing, feeling without touching, listening in silence. Things of faith.

Here we are, from the Land of Fatma and, later only, Fátima, from Vila de Auren, becoming a county by the hands of Infanta D. Teresa, who later names it Ourém (Christian name chosen by the Moorish Fatma), to live life in abundance and beauty.
